February

February is already over!  The whole short month thing is really convenient.  February is pretty gloomy, but moving onto March isn't bad because March means almost spring!

February started out with some Chinese New Year festivities.  We celebrated with Kess, Traedon, James, and Amanda.  Kess and I did all of the cooking, and we made some seriously tasty food if I do say so myself.

Also, dumplings are probably one of the cutest foods ever!

I gave my students a survey to get to know them a little bit better.  They are so funny!  Also, if all goes according to the plan, we are going to have a ridiculous amount of NFL players from Utah County in a few years.

Bailey and I like Valentines Day because it is an excuse to get each other gifts.  I got Bailey some boring golf stuff which he loved, but I also drew him this little Kirby!  He loves yellow Kirby and always plays him in Super Smash Bros.  I don't really know why.  But he was excited about this!

Bailey did really good though.  He got me this cute headband and rust colored jumpsuit!  I took my first school bathroom mirror selfie because I felt like a stylin' teacher that day.

One of my students gave me a Valentine and I think it is just about the sweetest thing I've ever seen.  Holms.  Haha.

I have been needing an earring holder for some time now, and for some reason all of the earring holders out there are not cute.  Well, I found some that I liked after much searching, but they were so expensive!  So, I just made my own and it cost under $2.  I'm so proud of it!

Have I mentioned how cool the Butterfly Biosphere is?  I just love it!  I love being a Thanksgiving Point employee and being able to stop in whenever I want.  Such a magical place to go after a date with my cute guy!

I also got to take Sarah to see the butterflies!  This is excellent news because I haven't seen Sarah in FOREVER.  She said she was coming in town and had some big news to share with me, and big news she had indeed!  She is going to have a baby in April and I can hardly wait!

Our book group, the greatest book club of my knowledge, had its first ever Book Group Retreat!  So exciting!  We all donned matching shirts and headed down to Hurricane for some sunshine.  Too bad there was a freak storm that resulted in SNOW in Hurricane, which is super rare.  What the heck!

We all had so much fun, though!  We played games, watched movies, ate food, shopped, and laughed a lot.  Oh, and we enjoyed Beaver's delicious cheese because how could you miss that?

Bailey and I had the unique opportunity to go on a mother daughter retreat with his mom's ward.  Basically they needed more priesthood holders and someone with a camera, so we were called up!  It was fun, though.  We got a free night in a lodge in beautiful Park City.  And we got to hang out with Bailey's mom, sister, and some of our nieces!

And of course, I am still student teaching.  The time is going by so fast!  My students are cute and fun, and I've really enjoyed getting to know them.  They were assigned to draw and shade a realistic animal, so I took the opportunity to draw my dear old friend Persephone.

And that be all for February!
