September Part 2

September is always pretty anticlimactic!  It was a good month, though, and I can hardly believe it is over.  Where has the year went?!

We are quickly jumping into the fall season and I'm so excited!  Fall smells are the best smells, fall weather is the best weather, and overall it is just the prettiest season!  Fall has always been my favorite, but I do admit that I'm becoming more of a summer girl because traveling is easiest when it is warm and that's all I want to do.  Anyway, here is Ayla getting ready for autumn!

Bailey has made me the happiest wife lately because he's been making FOOD!  It turns out he can make some seriously delicious night market noodles that I could probably eat all day long.

He also made me fried dumplings one night!  Can you tell that we miss China?

Dumplinghead is Monica and Andrew's dog's name.  Here is Bailey being Dumplinghead.

Work is good.  Both works, I guess.  Fotofly is always an adventure, that's for sure!  It has been fun to make some friends that aren't goats.  Here are some of my friends stretching.

Another food picture because date night = watching The Office and eating artichoke dip.

School is so fun!  Here are some little xuns I'm making in ceramics.  Our assignment is to make something inspired by music.  So I made something that actually makes music!  I'm proud of these little guys, they were totally out of my bowl and cup making comfort zone.

I AM SO EXCITED!  Check out our early Christmas presents!

The First Half of September. But Actually Just Goats.

Normally when I go through my phone, I find all sorts of random pictures that I've taken over the past couple of weeks.  Today when I did that, all I found were pictures of goats.  So that's what you get today.

This is often how we find our goats when we try to leave in the morning.

There are two goats in the following picture.  Can you see them both?

He promptly jumped on the car in order to not miss out on the fun!

Snuggle goats.  Yup, that's all four of the little babies!

I live in goat heaven!

Family Pictures

Since I now work at Fotofly, every day I am reminded that we should probably get some family pictures done.  So, after much preparation on what to wear (it is so hard to make 6 people look cohesive but not too matchy!) tonight was the night!  I quite like how these turned out!

G & R Camping Spot

Camping with Grandma and Grandpa is seriously the best.  First of all, Grandpa is the ULTIMATE guide.  Like, he literally knows everything about everything and never gets lost.  Second of all, they always make our campsites so cozy!  They have a nice trailer so we never have to use the gross campsite bathrooms.  We always set up a fire, all of our chairs, and have so much fun just hanging out!

Camping is a lot of just hanging out which I have really come to enjoy.  Sometimes, though, I do like to explore a bit and find some trails to walk on.  I loved having Ayla along on our walk!  She spent quite some time following her shadow and collecting rocks.

Back at camp, we always make sure to have a fire going just in case someone gets cold, or just in case I need a roasted marshmallow (which is pretty often).  Bailey headed the firewood project this trip, and spent about an hour on this specific log.  It got entertaining enough that Liam and Desmond faced their chairs towards him to watch!

It was so nice to get away for the weekend and spend some time with some of my favorite people!  I'm super bummed that it is getting cold and that the camping season is just about over.  But at the same time, I am excited for beautiful fall colors!

Capitol Reef

We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful and diverse state!  Any direction we drive, we could end up in a National Park, I swear.  For Labor Day Weekend, my grandpa decided to take us all to Capitol Reef!

Oh my gosh it was just amazing!  I could not believe how massive all of the formations seemed, I felt like a tiny little ant.  We took a beautiful drive through the park and opened up the sun roof so we could almost see the tops of the cliffs.  We don't hike much on these kinds of trips, but we did get out to explore a bit!

We had so much fun climbing around!

I wish we had more than one day here, but I did enjoy every second of it!  I definitely will be coming back to Capitol Reef someday.
